Vampy Burgandy Winter Make-Up Tutorial & Bold Lashes

Hello my beautiful friend!

I know, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve written a blog post and to be really honest, I’ve been taking a break from blogging because I didn’t want to put up content that I wasn’t happy with. In the mean time I have been filming YouTube videos and you can click the one below to watch my latest one. I would really appreciate it if you could subscribe to my channel as I am still growing and trying to find my feet.

I have a video coming this week as well as a review and I will be posting regularly because I have finished my exams! I’m really excited to be bringing my readers great content and just want to thank everyone for being so patient and coming along with me on my blogging adventure.

This look comprises of a vampy lip using Essence Cosmetics “All That Greys” lipgloss in the shade 01. I love this look paired with the Katy Perry lashes from Eyelure in “Cool Kitty”. I wanted to try something bold and warm for the winter season I am experiencing at the moment!

If you do decide to click the play button below, don’t forget to give the video a thumbs up and leave a comment or subscribe to my channel if you want to see more!

L’Oreal Boost It Pro Review In Collaboration With Beauty Bulletin

Hi beautiful!

Today I am very excited to bring you my latest review on the L’Oreal Boost It Pro Range. Beauty Bulletin asked me to review the L’Oreal Boost It Hairspray and Mousse and I am beyond honoured and I worked really hard on this video so I would love if you would click the play button, leave a like and subscribe xo. For those of you who cannot access YouTube, don’t worry about it, there are images in this post fairly similar to what is in the video.

This is what the products looked like when I received them. Loved the bright yellow and purple and the size was amazing.

BOOST IT LOREAL

I forgot to point out in my review that there is a really cool app you can download to give you various ideas on the type of hairstyles you can create using the products. I came up with 4 hairstyles myself for my video to add my own spin on it and to showcase my creativity.

The mousse was a very great consistency and I didn’t have any problem with it. I applied it into my damp hair but did not include me blowdrying my hair as I didn’t want the video to be too long. Not going to lie, I feel like it did give my hair bonce but I still had to tease my hair in certain sections to get the look I wanted. It responded to heat relatively well and any steam seen in the video was just evaporation of my hair product that I use since it tends to make my hair a little wet.

The spray was AMAZING. Loved the fact that it actually held my curls for a day and on the second day I still had visible waves. It didn’t leave my hair feeling sticky and it had this almost fruity scent that I fell in love with and can definitely see myself using this more often.

These are the 4 hairstyles I created with the products:

This can be purchased at Clicks and Dischem for about R95 each which is a great price considering the size of the products and the use you’ll get out of them.

A big thank you to Beauty Bulletin for sending me these products, I would love to collab with them again in future.

If you would like to check out Beauty Bulletin’s website you can go to http://www.beautybulletin.com

Thanks for reading, have a great weekend. This will unfortunately be the last of this week’s post as I write exams on Monday.

Shield MotionSense Aerosol Review – In Collaboration With Beauty Bulletin

Hi beautiful!

Today I am coming to you with an exciting announcement. I recently had the most amazing opportunity to review products for Beauty Bulletin, South Africa’s leading beauty community and network! I had the privilege of reviewing the Shield Motion Sense Fresh Confidence Aerosol as well as the new L’Oreal Boost It Pro Range, which will be live on my YouTube channel on Friday.

With regards to aerosols, I’m very fussy when it comes to certain scents due to the fact that my nose is extremely sensitive to certain odours and I can get headaches if the smell is too strong. This was not the case for this aerosol, it was a clean, fresh, burst of fragrance that reminded me of baby powder.

Pink is my favourite colour so I was immediately drawn to the packaging.

What is Motion Sense Technology?

From what I understand, the ingredients in the aerosol were designed to detect motion and release bursts of scent every time you move.

How did I put it to the test?

I am not a fitness fanatic but decided to do an hour of cardio which included both running and dancing. I tried my best to work up a sweat and I was blown away by what had happened.

Did it work?

As I was exercising, I could smell bursts of freshness every single time I moved so this aerosol did not disappoint, it left my underarms feeling dry (in a good way) and smelling amazing. I was honestly so impressed and even on my way to get water, my mom told me that I smell amazing!

Would I recommend it to others?

Definitely, I am such a big fan of this aerosol especially if I’m not wearing perfume just because it lasts all day and doesn’t leave me sweaty and stinky. I am definitely adding this to my gym bag.

How much does it cost?

If I’m not mistaken it’s R29.99 at leading retailers, but please do not take my word for it.

A big thank you to Beauty Bulletin for giving me this amazing opportunity. All the products I have mentioned were provided by Beauty Bulletin. I cannot wait to show you what I’ve done for my L’Oreal video coming this Friday!

DIY Lip Scrub/Exfoliator

Hi Everyone!

I have started scheduling my posts because it’s really difficult for me living in South Africa to cater for the majority of my readers living in a different time zone. I just wanted to know if I’m the only one who experiences problems with scheduling posts or? Anyway, it’s Winter here where I live so I thought it would be a great idea to do a DIY.

I suffer from chapped lips during the winter and I always made the mistake of running for the chapstick. For me chapstick actually dries out my lips even more so I found out that exfoliating your lips is actually better than moisturizing it constantly. Hope you enjoy!

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Sugar: 1 tablespoon
  • Honey: 1 tablespoon
  • Olive Oil: 1 teaspoon
  • Vaseline or Shea Butter: 1 teaspoon (Coconut oil and jojoba oil are also alternatives)
  • 1 small container

Combine all the ingredients into the small container and apply to the lips. If your lips are very sensitive or overly cracked then I recommend applying very gently so that you do not cause damage to the area.

Would you like to see more DIY posts? These posts always get a very positive reaction so I am more than willing to do it for you!

I have a review coming tomorrow and a new YouTube video coming on Friday.
