I know that I’ve been away from my blog for quite some time but I just wanted to clarify that I am not dead, just under the weather and about to embark on September break which means more posts to come. I have been extremely busy in preparation for my driver’s license (pray for me because sometimes I drive and the car isn’t even in gear) and also this term was probably one of the most hectic since it was only 3 weeks and my lecturers just decided to leave me with a bunch of work to complete before final exams.
2 weeks ago I celebrated my 20th birthday and I felt so inspired to recreate this extremely mature look from Kendall Jenner. You can watch the full tutorial on my YouTube channel below, don’t forget to leave me a like and subscribe to my channel if you want to (please want to). If you don’t have access to YouTube, don’t worry about it I have the full low down here on my blog!
The Video — Press Play
I know YouTube isn’t widely available to everyone for a number of reasons so here’s the low down of what happens in this video. P.S: Yardley London SA has asked to repost this recreation on their social media channels so go follow them on Instagram and leave me some love when the photo goes live tomorrow! x
This was the look I recreated inspired by the gorgeous Kendall Jenner:
Primer — For Primer I opted for the Maybelline Baby Skin pore eraser, just to conceal my pores to give me a photo ready face. Kendall has absolutely flawless skin here so this just provides a good base to work with.
Moisturizer — Isabella Garcia Day Defense moisturiser came to my rescue, giving me a healthy glow so that powder and foundation does not dry me out.
Foundation — I used the Yardley London Airbrush foundation in the shade “Natural”. I built up the foundation, applying 2 coats instead of 1 for more coverage.
Concealer — I have been loving the L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD for concealing imperfections as well as brightening my under eye area. I’m not too sure about the shade I used but I will edit this post again so just stay tuned.
Powder — To set my concealer and foundation so that it didn’t cake or slide around everywhere I used the Design Compact Powder from Edgars in Soft Beige.
Eyeshadow — I used the Be Beautiful Cosmetics palette and a very dark brown to define my crease, however I just went all over my lid because I have hooded eyes and dragging the eyeshadow upwards would have smoked the eye which is what I didn’t want. I merely wanted to soften the look.
Eyeliner — I have a new favourite eyeliner! I love the Michelle Ori Paris “Feliner”. The tip is great and super sturdy as I hate applicators which move and can’t give me a sleek edge.
Lashes — I wanted the look to be as natural as Kendall’s but at the same time still give the lash impression so I went with Eyelure in 118/114.
Contour — I loved how harsh but strong Kendall’s contour was so I went in with my Design Compact Powder in the shade Mahogany. This made such a difference to my face as it slimmed it down and really defined my cheekbones, which are my best feature.
Lip — This bright red lip is thanks to Edgars Design Chubby Stick and I couldn’t find a number on the packaging so I do apologize but hey, what can you do?
