How I Achieved Perfectly White Teeth – Opalescence Go 6% Review & Demo

“Smiles are always in fashion”

DISCLAIMER ♡: This video is sponsored by Opalescence. As this is my first sponsored video, I hope my audience understands that I have always been honest when it comes to reviews and I could not turn down this opportunity. I am a student and this money would mean a lot in terms of buying my textbooks for university. I would never post about a product I do not believe in, sponsored or not.

When you’re a small blogger, I’m sure you can relate to when you see big celebrities using teeth whitening kits or walking around with dazzling smiles. For me, this has always been something I have always wanted because I am very insecure about my teeth. I have a vein that runs between my two front teeth and that means that the gap between my teeth cannot close fully. When I had the opportunity to work with Opalescence, at first I was really apprehensive. I had to think about it, I did not jump at the opportunity to get money but rather I had to think about the fact that I would be sharing one of my insecurities with the internet (which can be a very evil place at times). Eventually I told myself that instead of moping around about it, why not put a product to the test to see if it genuinely delivers? This is what really motivated me to use it.

At first, it took a while to get delivered to my house. This is because South African customs are the worst. This gave me plenty of time to do my research about the product, checking out other people to see how their experience with the product was and just educating myself in general.

Once the product came to my house, it was beautifully packaged. I really appreciate it when companies go the extra mile to really make you feel appreciated for agreeing to review their product. (If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that I love handwritten notes). I received the teeth whitening kit with 10 trays, a teeth whitening toothpaste and a soft toothbrush.

I have an entire demo video within my YouTube video which shows you how I use the product and how I maintain my teeth but basically…

A perfect alternative to over the counter whitening options. No impressions or custom trays necessary. Easy and quick to use. The gel within the trays contain Potassium Nitrate and Flouride (PF) which helps maintain the health of the enamel throughout the whitening process.

Comes in 6%, 10% & 15% (Hydrogen Peroxide concentration).

Available in Peach, Melon & Mint flavour.

♡ Refrigerate the trays before use.

♡ Remove the trays from the pack, a visible L and U are on the package for the upper maxilla and lower mandible. Insert one tray at a time.

♡ Once the tray is inserted, suck down to secure the trays for about 10 seconds before removing the green outer tray. You should be left with a clear tray on your teeth.

♡ For the 6%, you leave the trays in for 60-90 minutes.

At first, I did not see a difference in my teeth. This made me feel very despondent. Then I had to remind myself that it’s a 10 day process and it won’t happen overnight. The only problem I experienced with the kit was that it made me salivate a lot. This isn’t the kit’s fault because it was my body’s way of coping with something that my brain thought was food. After a few days I started getting the hang of it and eventually forgot about the problem. I really saw how white my teeth were and I could not believe it. Even my family started to compliment my teeth without them knowing that I was using something to whiten my teeth.

Have you used this product before? If so, please share your experience with me!

I think that this week I will try one more make-up look before I start my back to school/varsity series. I am so excited to be going back to university because it is my final year and the year I have to start job hunting. I am nervous but calm at the same time because I know that God has a plan for me. I really want to go into journalism but I have been looking into teaching English abroad.

Signature Scent – Lost In Paradise Exotic Adventure Range

If there’s one thing I was taught at a young age, it’s that your skin should never be taken for granted. When I was younger, I will never forget the time a girl took my hand and made a terribly snarky remark, saying “these feel like hands that do no work”. I politely took my hand back and told her that I cook and clean my house almost every day and every night I would make sure that before I went to bed, I had some lotion on my hands and feet.

Enjoy Bath and Body was so nice to send me a great gift box for Christmas containing a variety of lotions and body sprays. My mom was so over the moon that she decided to take a few for herself, cheeky. One range in particular that I was really excited to try was the Lost In Paradise Exotic Adventure Range. I like the fact that the packaging is colourful with gold detail and hints of pink (my absolute favourite colour).

Included In The Range:

250ml Body Lotion

150ml Body Mist

80ml Hand Cream

The Scent Itself:

The scent of exotic paradise with a vibrant combination of luscious peach, sun-kissed tangerine and juicy red fruits, resting on a perfect blend of wild passion flower and musk.

Fruity and floral scents have always had a special place in my heart. I feel that it smells absolutely stunning and ladylike. I wish I had received or stumbled on this range when I went to Thailand because this would have been the perfect edition to my travel bag.

If there is one thing I personally cannot stand, it’s when my hands are terribly dry. This happens almost all the time when I find myself in aircon venues at my university. The hand cream is perfect for slipping in my toiletry bag for campus when I can feel my hands becoming dry and I love the body mist, because I go to campus in Bellville where temperatures can peak to about 35 degrees Celsius. What a lovely way of having a little escape while I am stuck in the busy world of university!

The Enjoy Bath and Body Range can be found at Clicks stores.

250ml Body Lotion R34,95

150ml Body Mist R36,95

80ml Hand Cream R34,95

I am so excited to try out the rest of the Enjoy Bath and Body products and I love the other scents they have on offer. Would you like to see another product from their range?

CALA Pink Couture Deluxe Make-Up Brush Set Review & Why It’s Perfect For Beginners

Being a beauty blogger and the go-to friend when it comes to make-up and advice, the one question I am almost always asked is which brushes I would recommend when it comes to make-up application. I remember when I first started getting into make-up, I saved up a little bit of my pocket money and went to the drugstore to purchase my first foundation brush. I wanted something which was affordable and looked like it would last me a long time. This is when I picked up the CALA Cosmetics foundation brush, which I still have in my collection today.

I recently ran a giveaway on my Instagram in which I gave away the CALA Pink Couture Deluxe Make-Up Brush Set and after some contemplating, I decided that I wanted one for myself because it looked so pretty! Unfortunately the store I went to was out of stock and I ended up getting one for Christmas from my mom. I am always grateful for make-up and anything I can add to my growing collection!  What I love the most about this brush set is that it comes with a stunning make-up bag which you can store your brushes in for travel. This is so important for me because I need to know that I have somewhere to store my brushes in order to protect them from any damage.

The brush set contains 6 pieces in total, one bag and 5 brushes.

1 make-up bag, pink with rhinestone embellishments (as pictured above)

1 powder brush

1 eyeshadow blending brush

1 eyeshadow applicator brush

1 eyeshadow shading brush

1 liner brush

One thing I always worry about when it comes to brushes is how long it will last and if the bristles will fray or fall out after a wash. I like to deep clean my brushes knowing that product can make its way right down the brush and cause my skin to break out. When I used the brushes for the first time, they were really good in terms of application. I found the powder brush soft and the eyeshadow brushes dense enough to pack on product and hold onto the product when used in conjunction with other products such as eyeshadow primer or setting sprays.

Besides the fact that this set is extremely affordable, retailing at R164,00 in South Africa (mine was purchased at Dis-Chem) it can be used in a number of ways which is great for a beginner to learn the ropes. If I had found this set when I started out with make-up, I would not have thought twice about purchasing it because I feel that I can get so much use out of these brushes and they are not very expensive (some brush sets retail at almost R500 and the brushes are TINY).

The Powder Brush doubles as a blush applicator if you use setting sprays instead of setting powders.

The Shading Brush doubles as a concealer brush for concealing imperfections and cleaning up brows for a sharper and more precise brow.

The Liner Brush can be used as a lower lid brush for smoking out eyeshadow or even lip liner for a clean lipstick application.

Even though this was given to me as a gift, I can honestly say that I am so impressed with how these brushes have held up. I have not had any problems with application or the bristles and I feel that this set is affordable, which is something that is so important for me as a student because nobody wants to spend an arm and a leg on products. I mean, unless you’re a serial splurger, then you do you boo.

What are some of your favourite make-up brush brands? I love finding new products!

Essence One Brand Tutorial: Bubblegum Pink Valentines Day Make-Up

Anyone else single like me but LOVES getting dolled up for Valentines Day?

My horoscope told me that in February I am going to find love and I just wanted to know why someone would make such a joke? Kidding aside, if you have a valentine (lucky you, babe) or if you’re a nacho cheese single pringle like myself then come and put your face on with me in this Essence (somewhat) one brand tutorial. The only things I have to confess about this tutorial is that I forgot to get a bronzer from Essence, Essence does not have my shade of foundation and they only have 3 colour brow pencils. The brown brow pencil is too light for me, the black is too dark and blonde is obviously out of the question. With most tutorials, if you enjoy please leave me a thumbs up and do not forget to subscribe to my channel for more content.

In Case You Missed It – What I Got For Christmas 2017 & Helping Animals In Need

— DISCLAIMER: I do not intend on bragging in this video. If you know me, you would know that I only make these types of videos for entertainment purposes and because they do well in terms of views around Christmas time in general. If you do not like these videos, please do not feel obliged to watch it —

Hello and welcome to a new and improved version of Sincerely, Deeanne. I wanted to get one last video of 2017 out in the open so I thought I’d leave this little video here for you to watch. You know the drill, I would love for you to like my video and subscribe to my channel. My goal for 2018 is to hit 1000 subscribers so if you could make that happen, I would be really grateful.

As much as I love receiving gifts for Christmas, I wanted to give back throughout 2018. Animals have a very special place in my heart. In 2013, my pitbull, Shylow was stolen out of my grandma’s yard while we were away on vacation. I searched and searched, but to no avail. I can only hope my baby boy is in a better place or that he is safe and unharmed. As I am sure most of you are aware, dog fighting is a common occurrence and a sick pleasure a lot of people take part in. I will list a few of the South African shelters down below, if you are able to donate, these organizations are in dire need and are not funded by the state, so money is very tight for them. Alternatively, if you are looking to give a furry friend a forever home, that would be great too.

Good Hope SPCA:

Oscars Arc WOOF Project:

My wish for you in 2018 is nothing but good health, good times, great memories and the biggest blessings. Thank you for all your support in 2017, I hope to come out with so much new content for you.

Sunset Cranberry Eyes & Glowing Skin Christmas/Holiday Tutorial

I am currently lying in bed and wasting away, watching Riverdale because I have work tomorrow until Sunday. Even though it’s my last shift of the year, I still hate standing and forcing people to buy my product, ya know?

I love warm toned eyeshadows. In fact I’ve always admired beauty guru’s who were able to pull off these intricate looks. I just have to say that I was so impressed with how my eyes turned out in this look and I think my skin looked so glowy in this video. As usual, I would love for you to support me in my YouTube journey (update, we just hit 600 subscribers!) by subscribing to my channel, viewing my content or even leaving a like or a comment.

Swiitch Beauty Unicorn Sauce Palette Review & Selena Gomez 2017 Met Gala Inspired Pink Eyeshadow Tutorial

Told you I’d be back with a few looks.

Hello lovelies! I hope you’ve had a great week and that you’re ready to party up a storm this weekend, or if you’re like me you’re ready to relax and have cute Instagram brunch dates (the single blogger life is sad sometimes).

In this video I reviewed the SwiitchBeauty Unicorn Sauce Palette and also recreated this eye look Selena Gomez wore to the Met Gala earlier this year:

My Thoughts On The Unicorn Sauce Palette ♡:

Shipping & Shopping Experience ♡:

I ordered this palette as part of the Pink Friday sale, which is Swiitch Beauty’s version of Black Friday. I ordered my palette at midnight on the dot and did not experience any problems with checkout or paying for the palette. There was an option for express shipping or normal shipping. I paid for normal shipping and the palette arrived at my house the Monday morning at 10AM I remember that I still wrote an exam that morning and left early so I could get home early. I have to give a big thumbs up to SwiitchBeauty for delivering so quickly. The price wasn’t heavily discounted and I ended up paying around R265,99 in total which is relatively close to R350. Therefore, I’m really not impressed with the so called ‘sale price’ that they seemed to offer.

Packaging ♡:

The packaging of the palette is one of the best in my opinion. It has a holographic finish and looks amazing! The palette contains 35 intensely pigmented, buttery smooth, mythical eyeshadows. The shades range from yellows, oranges, pinks, violets, greens and blues to black.

Swatches and Colour Pay Off ♡:

I have to say that I was relatively impressed with the swatches of the shades in comparison to the Slays For Days Palette. I was not impressed with the orange shade in the Slays For Days Palette but this palette blew me away. I loved the shades I used on my eyes. They blended well and there was only fallout in the palette but not on my face. I was honestly so impressed, that I rated my palette a solid 10/10. I cannot wait to create colourful looks with this palette!

The Completed Recreation ♡:

This is the finished look I tried to recreate from Selena, I really love how this turned out!

Gold Christmas Inspired Make-Up Tutorial With A Red Lip

It’s been a while.

Hello lovelies and welcome back to my blog. I am proud to announce that I have completed my third year of university (God willing, I really don’t want to qualify for a supplementary exam). I am so ready for Christmas and what better way to kick off the festive season than with a stunning red lip and gold eyeshadow combo?

I know that not all countries have access to YouTube so for those of you who don’t (or you’re too boring and don’t feel like watching my amazing video), here’s a quick run down of the products used in this video:

♡ Isabella Garcia Day Defense Moisturizer to prime the face.

♡ Benefit KaBrow in 04 for those brows, cleaned up with LA Girl Pro Conceal in Natural.

♡ The Body Shop All-In-One Tinted Concealer Primer/Instablur

♡ Decided to give SwiitchBeauty another try, so I used the SlaysForDays Palette on my eyes (the smell still bothers me though).

♡ Eyeliner from The Body Shop (it’s a star stamp liner but I wasn’t feeling that adventurous)

♡ False Lashes are the Eylure lashes (Kimberly Lashes)

♡ Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation in True Nude

♡ LA Girl Pro Conceal in Natural to conceal

♡ Catrice Cosmetics Sun Glow Bronzer

♡ Essence Cosmetics Matt Touch Blush in 010 Peach Me Up

♡ The Body Shop Drops of Glow highlight

♡ Essence Cosmetics Red Lip Liner

♡ L.O.V Cosmetics Kristina’s Red Lipstick

I have a few make-up tutorials coming your way very soon (I’m trying to finish up my Rimmel London foundation because I hate how it makes my skin look). I actually have one going up on my channel tomorrow so make sure you’re subscribed so you can be part of my little family. I am having a giveaway launching before Christmas which only applies to my subscribers and Instagram followers so be sure to keep an eye out! I have a new Instagram account too, called sincerelydeeannetheblog so please give me a follow!

Love and really missed you.

Swiitch Beauty Slays For Days Palette | Worth The Hype?

If there’s one thing my readers should know about me, it’s that I’m brutally honest.

Last month, I ordered the Slays For Days Palette from Swiitch Beauty. If you don’t know, Swiitch Beauty was founded by Rabia Ghoor. She is a South African entrepreneur who left high school in Grade 10 to persue a career in the beauty industry with her own startup named Swiitch Beauty. I love the fact that she is so young and started her own business. More power to you girl!

Swiitch Beauty offers a selection of products which you can find here and I have to say that the selection is quite impressive. I opted for the Slays For Days Palette which offers 35 intensely pigmented, buttery, warm toned shadows. It retails for R350 and I happened to get mine with free shipping.

First off, when the package arrived it was so securely wrapped which meant so much to me because it ensured that the palette didn’t arrive broken and that all the shadows were in tact when they came to me. The packaging of the box is absolutely stunning, with rose gold lettering on the front of the box. Another important note is that this palette is cruelty free. A while ago, Love, Kaylyn wrote a blog post with all the details which you can find here I absolutely love her blog and her aesthetic is to die for!

A question that seems to be on everyone’s lips is where exactly Swiitch Beauty’s products are manufactured. I personally have no idea,  but there has been some talk about people spotting the products without the brand logo from China. I personally do not mind, as long as they are cruelty free and no animals are harmed in the process!

One thing I have to say is that I love the variety of colours in the palette. I love warm tones and I am contemplating purchasing the Unicorn Sauce palette. However, during my tutorial (if you watched the YouTube video above), I complained about the smell of the packaging. This to me was a bit of a problem, as the smell was so strong it gave me a headache.

I don’t know how to pin down the scent but it was obviously so potent that it left me with a wofting headache. I’m going to try to leave it out of it’s packaging so that the scent disappears though.

With regards to swatches, some of the shades did not swatch nicely but on my eye they blended really well and the shimmer shades were very intense even without using a make-up applicator brush.

In my video, I spoke about the correspondence and how quickly the palette arrived so if you want more information on that then please watch the video.

This is the finished look I created with the palette which I am extremely pleased with:

I did recreate this look in the video so please go and watch it to see how I created this look.

Overall, I’d rate this palette an 8/10 just because I didn’t like the fact that the palette left me with a headache and I do feel that the price is a bit expensive so I don’t know if I agree with the price. In terms of pigmentation and blending I loved this palette so much! Would you like one of these palettes? I’m thinking of doing a giveaway!
