If you told me last year that I would have an amazing group of friends and would be going out more often, I would’ve probably laughed at you and told you to tell someone else a joke. My life has changed so much since I came out of a 4 year relationship in April and I can honestly say I’ve never been this happy. I really enjoy going out with my friends and most importantly, I look forward to going to campus every day because I have them to look forward to. In this vlog you can come with me to go wine tasting, take a glimpse at what Tamzen’s 21st looked like and even take a spin in her new Audi TT.

Here are a few photographs with the memories made for this vlog, what I like to call
“my life in pictures”:

One of my favourite quotes from Harry Potter is:
“Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light”
Everyone creates their own happiness, if you choose to do so. For 2 weeks I refused to go to campus because I was in such a dark space and feared running into my ex at campus. Then I asked myself, why is he going around as happy as can be when I’m stuck at home feeling miserable? It was at that point when I reached rock bottom, that I knew the only place I could go was up. I really have to thank my friends for being my pillars of strength in such a dark time, but most importantly for showing me that I was happy before and I can be even happier now. I am genuinely enjoying this stage of my life and constantly meeting new people. I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Hello beautiful, happy Sunday!
If you’re still subscribed to me then you’re probably wondering where I’ve been and why on Earth have I not posted in almost a month. I spent a lot of my holidays just relaxing and not pressuring myself to do blog posts because I feel that when I have to put up content, it’s not always my best. For those of you who don’t know, August 8th is my birthday so I have some great content coming next month and I am just really happy to be blogging again in general.
About 2 weeks ago I uploaded my 2016 Winter Lookbook video which you can find on my channel by clicking the play button down below, if you do then don’t forget to give me a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel x
Now I know that some of you don’t always have internet access which is fast enough to watch or you’re not able to watch at all due to country restrictions. No worries, I have taken photographs and I am more than happy to share it with you!

It is definitely that time of year again where the cold sets in and to make my face look less pale I have to wear the darkest colour (or in this case, somewhat dark) to make myself look a little bit presentable. I was recently gifted 2 Yardley Ultra Kissable Super Moist lipsticks and I was more than just impressed. Not only does the lipstick moisturize my lips, but also adds a great pop of colour to any plain or glam look. I’ve inserted various pictures of the lipstick itself, swatches and how it looks on my lips (unfortunately I’ve only worn Coco in the picture below). The names of the Yardley lipsticks are Burnt Plum and Coco, although Coco is more of a dark red than a brown.
Swatched side by side, or in this case above and below each other, burnt plum at the top and coco at the bottom
Here are some images from a date night I went on recently with my boyfriend of 3 years, Matthew. I am pictured wearing the shade Coco.
Before the date night:
I did not have a liner in this shade so please excuse my messy lines, but I can assure you it looks really good. And I may or may not have eaten when this was taken so this is what it looks like AFTER I ate which is great because it hardly budged or disappeared and I didn’t feel the need to apply more since I was home already.
I hope you enjoyed my little selection of winter lipsticks to hopefully add to your own collection. What’s your fave shade for winter?
The other day I was scrolling through Pinterest looking for some outfit inspiration as we are heading into the winter season here in South Africa. To my surprise most of the outfits were not winter appropriate and some models even wore shorts or skirts. I understand that not every country experiences winter like we do here in South Africa, but our winter can sometimes drop to 10 degrees Celsius and I don’t know about you but I definitely don’t want to wear a shorts in the middle of a thunderstorm on my way to my next class at varsity! I hope you enjoy my selection of pieces and please take note of the photography, I’ve been working on my editing skills and I hope it is getting better.
