30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 11 – My Easy 5 Minute Everyday Make-Up Tutorial

Hi Everyone! I just got home from picking up my brother from his sports day at school and it ended at 8PM! I’m completely exhausted and almost forgot I had to put a post up. No worries though, here I am with my easy 5 minute make-up tutorial. If you like it don’t forget to give the video a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

  1. Moisturize: So I usually start off by priming my face with my Isabella Garcia Day Defense Moisturizer and just hydrating my skin so my make-up has something to hold on to throughout the day.
  2. Garnier BB Cream: Due to the fact that this is an every day look I usually just wear BB cream because I feel that it’s lighter than a foundation and I don’t sweat this off as easily and it’s really hot at my campus. I apply this with my foundation brush from Cala cosmetics.
  3. Beauty Blender: To even out my BB cream I use a damp beauty blender.
  4. Sowin Quad: I use the eye shadow closest to my skin tone to cover the veins on my eyes which are a little obvious.
  5. Eyes: I usually go in with a white shadow in the inner corners of my eye to help me look more awake. Next, I go in with my Charlie Rock n Curl Mascara (AMAZING) and just apply a few coats to my lashes.
  6. Cheeks: Using my Pupa Blush Brush I go in with Clinique’s “Precious Posy” blush and wherever I feel the blush is a bit too harsh, I just go over it with the damp beauty blender.
  7. Lips: Going in with my Labello Lip Butter in “Blueberry Blush”, I apply this under my clear gloss because I have dry lips and I feel that any lip product really dries out my lips even more (Lipsticks and lip glosses)
  8. Lastly I set my make-up with my Design Compact Powder in “Soft Beige” and I’m good to go!

Sorry this post is up late but I’m really glad it’s up!

30 Day Blogging Challenge: Day 9 – January Beauty Favourites

Hello everyone! I am so happy to be writing again, I feel so proud that I haven’t missed a day of the 30 day blogging challenge and I am seeing a huge improvement in my blog. I’m feeling a little bit under the weather today because I found out that I am allergic to acai! I broke out in the worst skin rash after drinking a smoothie with acai in it.

All that aside I just wanted to put out there that someone left a petty comment on my blog saying that I’m illiterate because I don’t spell “favourite” properly. For those of you who don’t know, I live in South Africa and we do not use American English so most words commonly spelt with an “o” we add a “u” for example “neighbourhood, colour, favourite”. Just thought I’d put it out there for some of you who are confused.

All photos are my own and were edited myself, I worked really hard on it and editing them. It took a lot of time to research how to take and edit my photos so I hope you enjoy.

Beauty Treats Prism Party Eye Shadow Palette:

I received this palette from my mom for Christmas and I was a bit skeptical at first because I’ve used a lot of eye shadows but I haven’t found one I’m in love with. I really like the colour pay off this provided me with. I haven’t really had a chance to play with the brighter neon colours but I use the white in the corner of my eyes to give me the “more awake” effect. I’m really impressed.

Charlie 8 Pan Eyeshadow – Neutrals

Another Christmas gift I have been absolutely loving at the moment would definitely be this neutrals palette from Charlie. I love their Rocking Curls Mascara as well but it’s really been through the ringer and didn’t look good at all on camera. Colour pay off is really important to me when I purchase shadows as I’ve mentioned before and this one doesn’t disappoint.

Garnier BB Cream In Medium:

This is something I’ve tried out of curiosity and then fell in love with it. I’ve been using it for about a year already due to the fact that I don’t like heavy foundations. I have sensitive skin and don’t like to put too much product on my face so this is great for everyday use. Love how lightweight it is because I can’t even feel it on my face, it evens out my face and moisturizes at the same time. Love, love, love it!

Yardley London 16 Hour Airbrush Foundation – Natural:

For the days when I feel like going out and need more coverage than usual I opt for the Yardley London foundation. I had to be colour matched in the store because for the life of me I just can’t pick out foundations myself. I felt like this shade works best for me and it’s not as heavy as most foundations are. This has to be my favourite foundation by far.

Labello Lip Butter – Blueberry Blush:

I suffer from dry lips, especially when I’m sick or in winter. Most of the time I feel like chapsticks tend to make it worse but after trying the Labello lip butter I am completely blown out of the water. I love wearing this underneath my lip products so that it doesn’t dry my lips out and I love keeping this in my handbag for when I’m on the go and feel a little dry. Not only is it inexpensive but it really does work.

Essence Eyebrow Designer Pencil in 02 – Brown:

I’ve never really been on the eyebrow wagon but I’ve decided to give it ago. Due to the fact that my hair is dark I thought black would look the most natural but it didn’t and actually made my eyebrows look weird but I didn’t experience this problem with brown. I love the brush it comes with because the bristles are dense and tame my wild brows.
